Hundreds of Charlottesville High School seniors were getting ready for their graduation ceremony Monday night. While a lot of soon-to-be-graduates were running around with last minute errands, one senior was kicking back and taking it easy.

"It was pretty stressful this past week, so I wanted to make today the least stressful as possible," explained the graduating senior Tim Longo Jr.

Monday was the big day for a lot of local seniors and soon to be graduate Tim Longo Jr. is already reminiscing on the good times he's had over the years. "I've had a lot of opportunities here that I wouldn't have had anywhere else," he added.

Tim's mother, Robin Longo, is extremely proud and confident that he's learned tools to help him while away at college. "Charlottesville High School has truly given Tim an enormous base of education that he can take with him as he goes into college."

Tim will be attending the University of Texas at Austin in the fall to study Film, and while looking towards the future with a smile, he is feeling a range of emotions. "It's bittersweet because I've waited 12 years to finish school, and I'm finishing school, but I've had to say goodbye to a lot of good people, a lot of the coolest people that I've ever met."

People he'll miss a whole lot. "It's a little sad. I'm sure I'm going to shed a few tears, and if I'm not, a lot of people around me will be," Tim said.

The graduation ceremony took place at the Martin Luther King Performing Arts Center and seniors like Tim said they couldn't wait.
