Get ready to cover your ears. This Fourth of July is expected to have the biggest bang ever. Officials said Save the Fireworks Foundation will be able to purchase more than 1,500 bigger, louder, and more colorful fireworks at McIntire Park this Independents Day.

Three large donations, including one significant gift from a well-known 'Band,' have made it all possible. They were "The City of Charlottesville, which has been a partner of ours ever since we started this; Albemarle County, who has come onboard in a big way, and we are very pleased about that; and unexpectedly, and very excitedly, the Dave Matthews Band," said Ray Caddell, of Save the Fireworks.

This alcohol free event starts at 4:30 p.m. the evening of July 4.
