Waynesboro Woman Recovered

An Augusta County woman who police say was abducted by her husband, is safe. The Waynesboro man who allegedly abducted his wife at knifepoint yesterday has been arrested in North Carolina after a high-speed chase that ended in a car crash.

At 2:00 Wednesday morning police in North Carolina spotted the car driven by Thomas Marhx.

Officers chased Marhx at speeds at upwards of 115 miles an hour before his car crashed. Both he and his wife Melanie Marhx were then taken to a hospital.

Marhx is being charged with felony speeding to allude arrest, and assault with a deadly weapon on law enforcement officers.
