Hazmat crews have finished cleaning a hazardous spill that slowed traffic on Seminole Place in Albemarle County this morning. It happened right outside of the Jefferson Supply Company, near Greenbriar Road and Route 29. 5-10 gallons of floor stripping chemicals spilled into the parking lot from a delivery truck.

"Very little leaked out on the ground. We didn't feel like there was any threat and it didn't leak into any drains or anything like that now, so its not really a threat to any humans or the environment," said Chief Dan Eggleston of the Albemarle County Fire Department.

There were no evacuations or road closures due to the spill. Fire officials don't believe any malice was involved, but they are still investigating.
