There is more development off Seminole Trail in Albemarle County, but this time it's your money.
Sona Bank opened it's first branch in the Forest Lakes shopping center. A spokesperson said described them as a "business bank" and they chose the site because of the all the new growth in the area.
"We are planning on expanding and opening several more branches. I know we are looking to move up to Manassas and possibly expanding more here in Charlottesville--so [it's] very exciting," said Laura Kingrea Branch Manager.
The bank already has an administrative office in Court Square, in Downtown Charlottesville.
