Residents in one area of Charlottesville are outraged tonight after a racist newspaper was delivered to their homes over the weekend. The unsolicited paper made its way to many people's doorstep.
The 3rd District residents woke up to find copies of the Aryan Alternative waiting for them. Even though they know racism exists, for a lot of them, it is getting too close for comfort.
Lily Schlotahauar is one of many Charlottesville 3rd District residents who received a copy of the paper. "We're very upset and don't appreciate whoever it is dropping this off," she said.
Lily and others are disturbed by the paper and resent its delivery. "I am actually pretty frustrated about it. I don't appreciate getting things [like this] that I'm not subscribed to."
The publication, which is distributed nationwide, has made its way to local neighborhoods several times over the years and is becoming a real nuisance for many.
Third District Resident Toan Nguyen says the whole thing is "annoying and, it's shocking that there are people walking around this town feeling like this, feeling hatred against homosexuals, against African Americans, against Asians. I mean they're pretty much against everybody."
The Aryan Alternative uses offensive rhetoric to encourage white pride and supremacy. Residents like Toan have some rhetoric of their own to share with the paper's publishers.
"[They should] get a life and do something positive and constructive instead of trying to instill hate in other people's lives," he explained
This afternoon, the Newsplex spoke with the paper's publisher, Alex Linder, who is a self proclaimed racist and says he is proud to deliver uncensored news to Whites and plans to continue doing so.
