It was an energetic night on Election Day 2005, inside the Kim Tingley camp. All the volunteers and supporters were keeping everything motivated. They watched the results come in precinct by precinct.
Throughout the night, everyone stayed focused, positive, and pumped. When Tingley and his wife Debra walked into the headquarters along with their daughter Penelope it showed. Still, everyone knew the outcome, and listened to comments from their man.
Tingley congratulated David Toscano on his victory. He explained, "I called David around 8 o'clock tonight and told him what a great campaign he'd run and appreciated everything and he was clearly the victor. I would support him and I'd be there at 11:45 on Thursday for the unity rally."
When asked about the progress he made during the election, Tingley said, "We shifted the turnout from about 1800 votes 4 years ago to 4200 votes. We ran a very energetic campaign with hard-working campaign workers. We knocked on 8,000 doors. And I think we've motivated the base, and I think it will help when the unified campaign takes place and the election takes place in November."
