A performing arts organization is teaming up with Piedmont Virginia Community College to spread education and music.
Ash Lawn Opera Company has used PVCC's resources for rehearsal space since the middle of June.
Over the weekend, they put on a benefit concert to say thank you by raising money for PVCC.
"[They helped] us with our capital campaign, which is really so important to the future of Piedmont students, and to Piedmont's service to the community," explained Frank Friedman, President of PVCC.
"[We said] 'thank you for making our job so easy'," explained Judy Walker of Ashlawn Opera Company. "They really did...there was not one piece ever of any disagreement."
The capital campaign is a $10 Million campaign set to double the amount of scholarships, develop special programs for at-risk students, and create new workforce programs.
