Congressman Virgil Goode is offering refunds to several people that he believes were forced to donate to his campaign. Employees of MZM Inc., a defense contracting company which supplies many jobs in Albemarle County, were reportedly pressured to give his campaign money. After finding out, the Republican says he'd rather do without the funds.

"I don't want any donation unless it was freely and voluntarily given, so to those that contributed, I’m going to send them a letter, and if they want to, if they send me a letter, I'll send them a refund," said Goode.

The so-called pressured donations reportedly totaled almost $40,000 just this year alone.
