A group of summer students finished an intense lesson in language at the University of Virginia. Dozens of students graduated from the university's Summer Language Institute Thursday.
During the nine-week course, students immersed themselves in a language including German, Russian, or Tibetan. Some groups performed skits and songs, showing off their new skills. The students spent more than six hours a day perfecting the language.
