An effort to put a big smile on every kid’s face got a big boost this evening. On Wednesday, Charlottesville Area Dental Access received a $25,000 check. Delegates Rob Bell, Steve Landes and Mitch Van Yahres presented the check on behalf of the General Assembly Delegation of the Thomas Jefferson Planning District. The money will be used to fund a new children's dental center that will serve under-privileged children.

"It sounds like a small thing but dental care can make a big difference in the lives of these children," said Dr. Bill Viglione, an organizer of the clinic.

The clinic will begin taking appointments on August 29. It will open September 6.
