A zoning debate has been settled and Planned Parenthood can legally operate on Hydraulic Road. An Albemarle County Circuit judge cited with county leaders, and dismissed a lawsuit filed last year by residents.

Garden Court neighbors had argued the area should not have been zoned for a business, particularly one that handles abortions. County officials, however, disagreed.

"We feel pleased that the court did uphold to be what we felt was our valid position all along," said Albemarle County Spokesperson Lee Catlin.

The issue is still not completely over; another lawsuit against the zoning is still pending.
