The latest blockbuster to hit bookshelves is causing controversy among some religious groups.

Muggles everywhere will tell you books in the Harry Potter series are about fun, with good versus evil, but people in the religious community will tell you they don't believe it's right.

She's done it again, J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series pens another book keeping kids captivated world-wide.

"It brought the family together because [we] all want to read it...so its one of the few books the whole family has read," explained one mother and fan.

In fact, the book is so popular, it reportedly sold seven million in its first 24 hours available to the public. However, its popularity isn't cashing in for some.

"As a Christian, my personal belief is that according to Jesus, He is the only way to heaven," said community member Phil Haymaker. "He has instructed us to read and to study His word."

"I hear a lot of bad stuff about [the books] because people want to go get signs and [want to begin] practicing witchcraft when they read them," added elementary student Liberty Thurston. "

The views of the faithful compliment the new leader of the catholic church. Reportedly, Pope Benedict XVI, is not a fan of the book's wizadry and magic. He believes its pages promote sorcery and makes witchcraft appealing.

"We don't believe in that kind of stuff," explained Crystal Salavia, another young supporter of the pope. "We believe that the only miracles that can happen is by Jesus, and not witchcraft and spells."

Nonetheless, kids everywhere are reading, and parents are thrilled to have their children hooked on words.

Sales show, the bookstores were selling close to 250,000 each hour during the first 24 hour period.

Typically, a good book will take about four to six months to go gold and very few reach platinum in their first year of publication. 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' achieved platinum in one day.
