Albemarle County Fire Chief Nationally Accredited

One of Albemarle County's leading rescue officials is being nationally accredited. Albemarle County's Director of Fire and Rescue, Dan Eggleston, has been named Chief Fire Officer by an international accreditation commission. The group is made up of top fire and emergency officials.

Eggleston was selected based on his excellence in several areas including professional development, experience, education, and community involvement.

"I think this is a milestone in my career, being able to achieve this designation is something I've been working on for a number of years and I'm just happy to reach this milestone. I look forward to continuing my education and other achievements," said Eggleston.

Eggleston is one of 23 CFO's in Virginia and one of 459 CFO's worldwide.
