Preparations are underway for the Albemarle County Fair set to start next week. Crews started setting up power lines and tents for the 5 day event, that runs from August 2-7.
CBS19 and sister station ABC16 are getting in on the festivities. We're sponsoring a new contest at the fair this year, bale decorating. Up to 6 bales of hay are available for contestants to add their own touch.
"Just get very creative, very tasteful, and family friendly and we just love to have people come out and help us decorate our grounds," said executive director of the Albemarle County Fair, Barbara Lundgren.
