The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce has released the results of their 2005 compensation survey. The results list the annual salaries of 34 benchmark positions in the area. Those fields include finance, human resources and information technology. Chamber officials believe the report will help members to be more competitive in the marketplace.
"Both employers and employees can see what the range of salaries for certain positions in the area and that's an important tool for both employees applying for jobs and employers who are looking to fill positions," said Steve Blaine of Charlottesville’s Regional Chamber of Commerce.
This is the first year the chamber conducted the survey and they plan to continue doing more in the future.
