A former UVA graduate and NFL star is giving back to the community that welcomed him here.

Chris Harrison has broken away from football and is now an entrepreneur. He and Torrance Hampton are the proud owners of the new Nextel store at Hollymead Town Center across from Target.

Harrison is now the number one Nextel authorized representative in Charlottesville. He said he's grateful to be able to help the people who embraced him.

"Anytime a small business owner can come back to where he kind of made his way and began his career and give back to the community in terms of community outreach and providing revenue for the area, I think it's always a positive," said Harrison.

New Hollymead Nextel customers will have a chance to win an autographed Aaron Brooks jersey and a UVA football signed by Brooks and James Farrior.
