The man accused of raping a UVA student over the weekend appeared in court for the second time this week.

Christopher Lynn Matthew appeared before a judge today via a video conference. The next step for Matthew is to receiving a public defender. This comes after his bond was appealed by the Commonwealth Attorney's Office yesterday.

A new bond hearing will be decided once a lawyer is appointed to Matthew.
