The Clifton Inn in Charlottesville has joined the ranks of some of the world's most elite hotels and restaurants.
The Inn was accepted into the Relais and Chateaux, an exclusive organization that recognizes hotels for excellence. Clifton passed tests which included a 400 question application and several anonymous inspections to become one of only a few hundred Inns in the world to have this rank.
"It gives travelers and diners assurance of quality and in terms of Clifton, that doesn't necessarily mean it comes with the price of pomp and circumstance," said J.F. Legault, the managing director.
They feel this milestone is a testament to the commitment of the staff.
