BEDFORD, Va. (AP) - Two attractions on the Blue Ridge Parkway closed by the partial federal government shutdown have reopened.

Media outlets report that the Mabry Mill in Floyd County reopened Friday and the Peaks of Otter Lodge in Bedford County reopened Saturday.

Private concessionaires operate the attractions. They received permission from the National Park Service to resume operations.

However, the Sharp Top mountain shuttle in the Peaks of Otter Recreation Area remains closed. The shuttle is operated by the park service.
