Early Morning Fire Damages Charlottesville Home

Charlottesville Fire Investigators are investigation a fire that damaged a home Thanksgiving morning.

The fire happened on Rougemont near 6th Street, S.E.

The fire was tamed by firefighters within 10 minutes of them arriving to the scene. Firefighters say no one was hurt and they don't believe anyone lived in the house.

"Right now the fire is under investigation. Our fire investigators are going through the building to see what they can find as far as any types of ignition sources," explained Charlottesville Fire Chief Charles Werner.

No other homes were damaged by the fire.
