A series of town hall meetings brings the Governor-Elect to the area.
Tim Kaine was in Staunton continuing his "Moving Virginia Forward" transportation town hall tour.
Thursday he met with elected officials and local citizens at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel.
Kaine said he's visiting every part of the state to make sure he addresses and fixes the right transportation problems in 2006.
“This is my chance to come to you and to let you help me climb up the learning curve so that by January 14 when I'm inaugurated I know as much as I can. Not just about transportation generally, but transportation in every region--what regional needs are,” said Kaine.
If you have a transportation issue you want the governor elect to be aware of, email him at email@example.com.
