There were two armed robberies within miles and minutes and police confirm that the two incidents could be linked.

One of the victims told us he bought groceries at the Kroger on Barracks Road and was walking home around 9:30 p.m. last night when he heard running footsteps coming at him.

"They just walked behind me and grabbed me and put a gun in my chest and told me to give [them] all my stuff," said robbery victim Brian Kline.

Kline said the three armed men took-off with his lap top computer, his wallet and even his groceries.

"I really thought he would shoot me...I'm surprised that he didn't do anything violent with me but I think I cooperated with them in a way that they didn't feel threatened," said Kline.

Not 30 minutes after Brian was attacked another man was walking here on Seminole Trail when he says two men came at him with a gun.

"The victim gave his wallet over and the two suspects fled in a...silver vehicle with a sunroof," said Albemarle County Police Lt. John Teixeira.

Police say both victims were probably robbed by the same men.

"We'll be working closely with the city on this investigation," said Lt. Teixeira.

Brian hopes police catch these guys before they can do this to someone else.

"The idea that you can't walk home from a shopping plaza to your home that's within less than one mile...that's pretty bad," said Kline

Both victims didn't get a good look at their attackers but police are describing the men as three black males over six feet tall wearing black puffy jackets with hoods.

They urge anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.
