RESTON, Va. (AP) - Two passengers in a taxi cab have been killed in northern Virginia after the vehicle was struck head-on by another car.
Fairfax County police say two men ages 29 and 34 died in the crash early Saturday morning. The 47-year-old driver of the taxi cab was taken to a hospital in serious condition, along with the 24-year-old driver of the other car.
Police say the 24-year-old man was driving south on the Fairfax County Parkway when he veered into the northbound lanes and struck the taxi about 1:45 a.m. near Wiehle Avenue.
Police are investigating whether speed or alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
Police say the 24-year-old man could face two counts of aggravated involuntary manslaughter. Charges are pending in the case.
