A community is coming together for a fundraiser on Saturday, July 13, for Vince Shifflett.
Shifflett died two weeks ago from what doctors say was a brain aneurysm, though Albemarle County Police are calling it an unnatural death.
Two women are bringing local restaurants, vendors and musicians together on Saturday at the Earlysville Fire Department to raise funds for Shifflett's family.
"We've had a lot of support from the community," says Kathy Shifflett. "I mean the teamwork and the effort of everyone has just been amazing."
Money raised at the fundraiser will be presented to the family at the end of the event. Proceeds will be used to pay for a funeral and medical expenses, as well as help Shifflett's 10-month-old daughter.
