Auto club AAA is reporting gas stations are showing lower demand this week, possibly signaling the peak of summer gasoline demand.
The national average of gasoline is $3.62 per gallon. Charlottesville's average is a bit lower at $3.35 per gallon.
Decreased demand doesn't mean lower prices. AAA reports prices may go up in August due to the potential for late-summer hurricanes and refinery problems.
