Armed Robbery Reported Near UVa. Corner

Charlottesville police are investigating an armed robbery that happened near the UVa Corner early Thursday morning.

Police say a 21-year-old man was walking on the 300 block of 15th Street NW near Sadler Street around 2 AM.

The man was allegedly approached from behind by two men and forced to the ground. The victim says the suspects had a gun, and took money and personal items.

Police say the suspects ran away toward Wertland Street.

The victim was not hurt.
