The lineup for the 26th Annual Virginia Film Festival has been announced,
The festival will run from November 7th through the 10th this year, and will feature more than 100 films.
One movie expected to create a lot of buzz is a special 50th anniversary screening of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds." Tippi Hedren, the star of “The Birds,” is secheduled to be at the screening, and to stick around for a discussion.
The director of the festival, Jody Kielbasa, says they work hard to program an event each year with films they believe will resonate with the Charlottesville community.
"We work with social service organizations, other cultural organizations, to program films about issues and topics that matter,” said Kielbasa. “We bring in discussions from the University of Virginia and experts in the community that are all engaged in a discussion about film and the topic it covers."
Will Forte from Saturday Night Live is expected to be on hand for the festival’s screening of “Nebraska.” He's just one of the special guests who will be part of the festival.
