Police say the victim in this case has been identified as Jarvis Corenell Brown a 22 year male, a resident of Albemarle County.
Police responded to a 911 call around 3:15 AM. Brown's body was discovered at roadside this morning in the 2500 block of Woodland Dr., the apparent victim of a gunshot.
“All I saw was just car after car going down here; ambulance, cop cars, all that,” says Cameron Carpenter, neighbor who lives off of Woodland Dr. “There were just a lot of lights flashing, I didn't really know what was going on.”
One neighbor who did not want to be on camera says she woke up after hearing a gunshot earlier this morning around 3 AM.
Right now there is no suspect in the case and investigators ask that if you have any information to call Crime Stoppers at (434) 977-4000.
Charlottesville police are investigating an apparent homicide in the area of Woodland Drive, near Cleveland Avenue.
Police say they received a 911 call around 3:15 AM on Thursday, and that they found one victim inside a home in the 2500 block of Woodland Dr.
