You may know him from Donald Trump's Apprentice, but tonight he spoke in front of an audience at UVA.

Dr. Randall Pinkett, the recent winner of the show, was the keynote speaker for Black History Month. His focus was to motivate and encourage students and community members to learn more about black history month and hope that they understand the sacrifices their ancestors made for them.

"People always ask me, 'what motivates you?' Five degrees, Rhodes Scholar, Apprentice and the list goes on and on. And I say, I've always felt a sense of responsibility recognizing the sacrifices my family made that's given me opportunity. And the fact that generations before them made to give me opportunities", said Dr. Pinkett.

His speech entitled "Capturing our Past, Preserving our Future", was held tonight in Old Cabell Hall.
