Truck Hits Tree, Tree then Hits Car on I-64

Nov. 18, 2013

A bizarre crash slowed the morning commute on Interstate 64 in Albemarle County.

At about 8:30 a.m. Monday morning, a crash slowed traffic in the area of I-64 eastbound and Exit 114.

Two-miles away, at mile-marker 112, a box truck noticed the slowing traffic too late, ran off the road and crashed into a tree. The tree then crashed down onto a car that was stuck in traffic.

Nobody was seriously hurt and both scenes have since been cleared.
