Hundreds of UVa. Students to Walk Up Rt. 29

Jan. 13, 2014

Albemarle County Police are warning drivers to expect delays along Route 29 due to a class project by the University of Virginia.

On Monday afternoon, between 1 p.m. and 4p.m., hundreds of students will be walking along Route 29 from Emmet Street to the Rivanna Bridge near Polo Grounds Road.

The walk is part of the UVa. School of Architecture's 3rd annual Vortex week-long workshop. Students taking part in the walk will be tasked with imagining the future of Route 29 North.
