Henrico County police say a 13-year-old student was taken into custody after bringing a gun to school.
Officials say Wilder Middle School was placed on lockdown around 11:40 a.m. Monday after administrators received information that a student might be armed.
The student was found in the cafeteria with a loaded magazine in his pants pocket. An unloaded handgun was found in the student's book bag elsewhere in the school.
Charges are pending.
