A Greene County man faced a judge Tuesday for shooting his nephew last year. Edward "Oscar" Raines pleaded guilty to two charges, unlawful wounding and unlawful shooting into an occupied house.

Raines shot Charles "Timmy" Keneson last June. The two were said to be arguing over home ownership. The judge sentenced Raines to one year and nine months in prison.

"I thought it was a very appropriate sentence, I thought it was appropriate that the judge affirmed and accepted the plea agreement and sentenced the defendant accordingly," said Greene County Commonwealth Attorney Ronald Morris.

During court, Raines tried to withdraw his plea and continue on with a trial, but the judge denied the motion and said he had no grounds to withdraw.
