Greene County Board of Supervisors are hoping their new temporary County Administrator will help alleviate some of their workload.

Past county inspector, Jessie Hurt, will fill the seat for now. He'll oversee the board’s policies. Former County Administrator Julius Morris left early this year, and since then there have been a few candidates, but no permanent hires yet.

"Mr. Hurt’s a very capable manager with a lot of experience and he's a very ethical man and the staff likes him, and I think he'll be very successful with us in the interim," said Steve Catalano, Chair of the Greene County Board of Supervisors.

The board permanently appointed two assistant County Administrators, Steve Borders of public works and Tracey Morris of finance.
