A bizarre car accident occurred tonight in Fluvanna County. The car in the accident rolled over entirely, landing back on it's wheels. The driver then kept going, only to realize moments later that a passenger in the car had been thrown out of the vehicle.

Naomi Agboola was making dinner Saturday evening in her home along Rolling Road in Fluvanna County. That's when she heard a loud crash in her driveway.

"I saw the car kind of roll back over and pull off towards Charlottesville, and then turn around and went back down towards Scottsville," said Agboola. "There was all this stuff in the yard, so I just called 911."

Scattered along the road were CDs, backpacks, and clothing. All of it thrown out of the car when it rolled over. But there was also something else in her yard.

"When I got out here there was a guy laying under the tree," she explained. "All I could see was his boots and he was unresponsive. He [had a] positive pulse [and] positive respirations, but unresponsive. So I had 911 on the line. Then I got a little worried, but I'm a neuro surgical trauma nurse at the hospital, so I just checked his respiration, checked his responsiveness. He was breathing on his own."

The man thrown from the car, described as approximately 20 years old, was air lifted to UVA hospital. The driver and the other passenger were also treated.

"I don't think they knew they lost the boy. I think he fell out of the hatchback of the care with all the other stuff, and the other two drove off and they went about four houses down and parked. When they realized they lost the kid, they came back. They were walking," said Agboola.

Police and witnesses at the scene tonight, couldn't help but notice something else thrown from the vehicle.

"A lot of beer, alcohol. There was a 24-pack of Bud Lite, beer bottles, empty cans all over the yard," she said

Saturday night police were at the home of the driver. The car was moved behind the house out of view.

The passenger thrown from the vehicle is in stable condition. Police have not released his name, but they said the accident was under investigation. The other passenger and the driver have been released from the hospital.

None of the three people in the vehicle were wearing seatbelts, and all of them are under 21-years-old. Police say that the driver is facing 3 charges: DUI, Reckless Driving, and leaving the scene of an accident. Police believe alcohol did play a roll in what happened.
