Senator Tim Kaine (D) continued his five-day tour of the Commonwealth. Tuesday the senator stopped at the Joint Use Intelligence Analysis Facility in Rivanna Station
Sen. Kaine spoke with personnel from the station to learn about the intelligence work they do to support the nation's national security.
The senator says the Rivanna Station is an important installation not only for the country but also for the Charlottesville area.
“It was important to learn what's happening here from an intel standpoint, but also to make sure that we are doing what we need to do to make sure the mission can be successful here and the people can feel appreciated for choosing to be in Charlottesville.”
