Local liberals can now have their voices heard on AM radio.
After months of technical problems, the Charlottesville Radio Group's new station, WVAX, is now on the air featuring a unique liberal talk format.
Radio Group officials said most commercial talk radio is conservative, so there is a huge demand for liberal talk, especially in Charlottesville.
"There is certainly an element of this community that has indicated to us that they don't feel their viewpoints are currently available at other radio stations, so there appears to be some serious interest in the station," said Dennis Mockler, Charlottesville Radio Group's General Manager.
You can find WVAX at 1450 on the AM radio dial.
