Police from seven law enforcement agencies arrested more than 100 - people during the races yesterday. Majority of the charges were for either pubic intoxication *or* underage possession of alcohol.
Many of those arrested were released from the Albemarle - Charlottesville Regional Jail this morning.
"I was here from 5 o'clock (Sunday morning) on, ready and willing and able to take custody of any of these children and be responsible and identify myself and leave whatever monies they wanted to secure their return." said Ruth Weisgall, a concerned parent. "They couldn't release anyone, they said, until they'd processed everyone."
There were more than 250 officers at The Foxfield races on Saturday, making it the largest law enforcement operation in Albemarle County history.
