The USTA Women's Pro Tennis Championship is in Charlottesville this week. Not only are these women playing tennis but they are also speaking at various elementary schools across Charlottesville about what it's like to be a professional tennis player. The purpose of the program is to inspire young people to become more active.
"Particularly elementary school programs so the players can come to schools, chat with the kids and give them an idea what it's like to be a professional tennis players," explained Axie Moses, a volunteer associated with Boars Head Sports Club.
