The latest Charlottesville job report by the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce is a mixed bag, with some good news, and some areas that need improvement.
The city added more than 2500 new jobs in 2007. That is the fourth straight year that has shown growth.
The growth has slowed since the previous year, but it is more than the state average.
The report shows that nearly every sector added new employment opportunities.
Trade, transportation and utilities are the three biggest employers. That is followed by professional and business services, leisure and hospitality, education and health services, and construction.
