The Jefferson Area Board for Aging welcomed a new building partner.
The Alzheimer's Association moved their offices to the JABA building on Hillsdale Drive. Officials said the new location is beneficial to the Alzheimer's patients and their caregivers.
"While the caregiver is in a support group in our offices [at the Alzheimer's Association], their loved ones with Alzheimer's disease can be at adult day-care, [which is] a JABA service," said Larry Zippin, the President of the Central Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
Officials said there are five thousand people in Charlottesville with Alzheimer's disease.
