Seniors got a lesson about exercise Tuesday at ACAC in Charlottesville.
It's all part of an effort to keep seniors happy and healthy as they get older. .
The talk was about understanding and preventing age related muscle loss and weight gain.
Speakers pointed out that it is never to late to start getting in shape, no matter how old you are.
"We've taken 100 year olds, and within two weeks tripled their strength. It's astonishing," said Evan Williams, Ph.D from the University of Arkansas.
Tuesday's lesson was also put on through the Institute of Aging at the University of Virginia.
