Three men are in custody in connection to that shooting that killed 23 year old Travis Scott.
It happened at the University Heights apartment complex, which houses many UVa students.
As you might imagine, students are shaken up and wondering if they should get out.
"I really don't feel safe living here and if I could I'd probably look for somewhere else," said Laura Farnsworth, a UVa student and University Heights resident.
Laura Farnsworth is one of many people at University Heights who is considering a change of address after the shooting.
"People were getting back from school. The bus stop is right there. There were police everywhere but no one really informed the residents about what was going on. That was kind of frightening," said Farnsworth.
"We had some folks that were taken into custody quickly yesterday. We were able to locate some suspects and have them in our custody pretty quickly. One of them has been charged with robbery," said Lt. Todd Hopwood of the Albemarle County Police Department.
Three men have been arrested in this homicide investigation. Two of the men arrested are also Albemarle County residents and are currently being held without bond. Twenty year old Stacy Lamont Berry has been charged with murder and 20 year old Maricus Antwan Rawlings has been charged with robbery.
"A 15 year old male Enterprise student has also been charged with robbery. This juvenile that was charged with robbery was the one that we located that had an injury from gunshot wounds, the third victim that was reported last night," said Lt. Hopwood.
Detectives are continuing to work through the day and night to solve this investigation. Albemarle County Police are still looking for witnesses.
"We require that citizens call and talk to us and let us know what they've seen. What they might think is insignificant, may be that piece of the puzzle that helps us solve the case and actually assist us with further prosecution," explained Lt. Hopwood.
This incident apparently started as an attempted robbery and ended with a man being killed. Albemarle County Police are not releasing any more details at this time.
Police are still looking for more information. If you saw anything that may help, please call Crime Stoppers at (434) 977-4000.

Iam a delivery driver for a restaurant locally and the concerns i have is that this area has very little light in the parking and stair well areas of this complex and no security anywhere.Even this happened well in the daylight hours there is very little monitoring of what is going on in this housing complex and the residents there have alot to be concerned about. i have seen alot of questionable situations in the past 15 to 20 years that i have delivered to this complex and hopefully someones voice will be heard after this tragic event happened in this area.if my child attened UVA i would not consider them having a residence because of concern for their safety no matter how inexpensive the rent maybe!!!
