With two weeks until the primary, congressional hopefuls are looking for your vote.
Walking side by side along the campaign trial, Democratic congressional candidate Al Weed and Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Jim Webb stopped at Millers on the downtown mall Friday afternoon. They shook hands and answered questions from voters.
“[We need to have] more fairness in this society economically, and we need to stand up to the president in the way he has been dealing with Congress. Vote for me,” said Webb.
“I’m pleased to be working for and with Mr. Webb because I think he's going to help me win in the fifth, and all of you know, who have supported me in the past, we need all the help we can get,” said Weed.
The primary will be held on June 13, 2006.
