A man is in the hospital after being stabbed multiple times in Albemarle County. Details are still coming in about this stabbing, but investigators are having trouble tracking them down. The victim is refusing to talk to police, leaving authorities in the dark about the stabbing.
Albemarle County police said what they do know is that a call came in about a man suffering from multiple stab wounds along the 2200 block of Commonwealth Drive. Police arrived at Trophy Chase Apartments along Commonwealth Drive to find the man with wounds to the hand and back.
Authorities say right now, it's unclear what happened to the 54-year-old victim.
"We questioned him about what had happened and he did not want to provide us with any information about who may have stabbed him, or where it occurred, or whether he lived out here, or so forth," said Lt. James Bond with the Albemarle County police department.
The victim was taken to the UVa Medical Center where he remains in good condition.
Police said they are hopeful that the man will decide to talk to them so they can find out exactly what happened.
