It may be hot here, but that isn't stopping one the biggest bike races in the world. The Tour de France continues thousands of miles away, but it interests many here at home.
Charlottesville has its own racing club for all skill levels and ages. There are both road and mountain biking organizations that are keeping a close eye on the tour.
"I[Biking is] very good for cardiovascular. It's very good for losing weight, keeping weight down. It also is one that is not very injury prone, where as sometimes running can cause injuries to your knees and joints and that type of thing," said Craig Griffin, owner of Cville Bike & Tri.
Cycling is also a good alternative for injured runners. For a continued look on biking, check out all of the attached video links.
