For four years in a row Albemarle County has ranked top in the nation and it is once again being honored for being one of the most technology savvy county's in the country.
The center for digital government has ranked Albemarle ninth in the nation for the way it uses technology to communicate with residents.
“We have really seen a great shifting of workload from phones and in person to what's happening online. For example, downloads a couple of years ago we were seeing maybe 200,000 in a year. This year we are projecting we will have 1.3 million documents downloaded from the website,” said Albemarle County Spokesperson Lee Catlin.
The county also hopes the recent addition of pod casting meetings will bring more traffic online.
