Charlottesville welcomes the annual Virginia Fashion Week for the first time ever Monday, November 17. The Spring Street boutique on Charlottesville's Downtown Mall will play host to a runway show from 7-9pm. The show will feature designs from Milan, Italy, Paris, France and New York.
Designer, Jonathan Kayne from season three of Project Runway will be a featured designer at Monday’s event. Kanye will show his new Couture gown line and preview his new pet Couture line for dogs, KAYNE9.
Current Miss United States, Brittany Williams, Miss Teen Virginia, Elle Bunn and Miss Junior Teen Virginia Kelsee Grant will be modeling some of the fashions.
“It is just going to be a great show with everyone coming out. We just want a great support system there and especially for the new foundation, Spring Street has established. It’s just really exciting,” said Bunn.
The event costs $10 for adults and $5 for students. Proceeds from Monday night’s event will benefit the newly formed, Spring Street Foundation for Cats and Dogs. The foundation is a non-profit to help with the treatment of animals.
