Former UVa Lacrosse Standout Will Barrow Found Dead

November 23, 2008

Former University of Virginia lacrosse standout Will Barrow was found dead Saturday. Charlottesville Police tell CBS19 that they do not suspect foul play in his death.

Barrow was a captain for the UVa lacrosse team before being drafted earlier this year by the Chicago Machine of Major League Lacrosse.

According to the university Web site, Barrow, 22, was also working towards an undergraduate degree at UVa.

MLL Commissioner David Gross said in a press release, "Everyone associated with Major League Lacrosse is saddened over the untimely loss of Will. During this difficult time, we would like to offer our condolences to his family, his friends, and to everyone else whose lives he touched."

Stick with CBS19 Sports as we'll have information on a memorial service for Barrow as it becomes available.
